The BCPS is pleased to announce that there will be a chess solving competition at this year’s British Chess Championships at Coventry. It will take place on Sunday 26th July 2015 from 19.30 – 21.30. The event will be controlled by Grandmaster (Composition) Christopher Jones. There is no entry fee and there will be two sections:
OPEN – Open to all
MINOR – For those with an International Solving Rating (or half-rating) of under 1700, or, in the absence of such a rating, an otb FIDE rating of under 1700 or an ECF grade of under 135.
There will be a total prize fund of £100, provided by the BCPS.
To enter, just send your name, section entered and any appropriate ratings/grading information to Christopher Jones at cjajones1@yahoo.co.uk
Of course, you can just turn up on the day as well, but prior notice of numbers would be useful.
