Entrants to both the U8 and U9 Championships before 18th July may deduct £10 from their total entry fee

BRITISH BLITZ CHAMPIONSHIP (FIDE rated)
Sunday, 2nd August: 11 rounds starting at 1 pm
Projected end time 4.00pm – 4.30pm

Players may ask to play in a higher section if they so wish. Players may request a ½ point bye in any of first four rounds. Round One byes must be claimed on the entry form. Inform your section’s Arbiter of any bye to be taken in later rounds.

Rates of Play

Rate of play: 40 moves in 90 minutes, followed by 30 minutes to finish the game, with an increment of 30 seconds per move from move one. British Championship

British Championship Play-off
Should the Championship be tied, a play-off will determine the title. The play-off will commence on Saturday 8th August immediately after the prizegiving. 10% of the prize fund will be withheld for players involved in the play-off as follows:- 2 player play-off £750; 3 player play-off £850; 4 player play-off £925
Other Championships – In the event of any other championship being tied, the title and any prize money will be shared.
2016 British Championship
The following are qualifying events for the 2016 Championship, provided there are at least 20 competitors:
