The De Lisle Prize

 
This is awarded for the best performance by a British female player in any section at the 2016 British Championships. The prize will be awarded to the female player with the best final percentage score in any section – (i.e. a score of 4/5 = 80%, a score of 6/9 = 66.7%, etc.) In the event of a tie the Prize will be awarded to the female with the best percentage score in the highest section in the order listed below.

  1. British Championship
  2. British Seniors Championship (Over 65), (Over 50) in order
  3. Under 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10 Championships (in order)
  4. Under 180, Under 160, Under 140, Under 120, Over 65 Under 150, Over 50 Under 150 Championships (in order)
  5. Under 9, 8 Championships
  6. Major Open
  7. 5 Day Open (4 sections count equivalently)
  8. Weekender – Atkins, Soanes, Yates (In order)
  9. Rapidplay – Open, Under 150, Under 125 (in order)
  10. Blitz
In the event of a further tie with the two highest female players competing in the same or equivalent sections, the following tie breaks will be applied in order —
  1. If ONLY two players tie the result of individual game between the players
  2. Sum of Progressive scores
  3. Sum of Opponents scores
  4. Sonnenborn Berger
  5. Prize money shared
